The super car has increased in popularity over the last decade as personal wealth has exploded, and a vehicle that can tear from zero to 100km/h in around 3.0 seconds is nothing new.
What sets the MC1 apart from most modern super cars however was the design time.
This V10-powered German super car was fully designed in under 90 days.
Motorcity Europe's director, Dave Hilton, wants to prove that cars don't need years of development, but can be developed in months.
He spoke to Car Body Design about the new MC1, saying "Initially I wanted to demonstrate that, in a short time, one designer can create and build a fresh design which is still possible for street development."
Some are suggesting this short turnaround time could this change the face of auto industry, but until the 'production possible' car finds a handful of keen buyers, is then built and on the road - expected by 2011 - we will not know.
Could it be successful?
Consensus around the Motoring Channel office has been mixed. Some staffers like the design, especially the stylised front end, and others think it stinks like three day old garbage that's been left in the sun.
Hilton says the vehicle will feature a mid-mounted V10 engine that will output around 447 kilowatts (600hp), and with a lightweight carbon fibre body shell it should be one of the faster super cars on the market with gut-wrenching acceleration.
It will ride on 20-inch front and wider 21-inch rear wheel rims, and is expected to reach around 320km/h (200mph).
Audi A3.............
Although Fourtitude is a daily read for us and all other Audi lovers out there, George Achorn is even better in his "Fourword", a column dedicated to his personal thoughts on the Audi brand and models.
In his current "Fourword" he is writing about the idea of bringing an Audi A3 Hybrid.

There’s no denying that the Toyota Prius has garnered its fair share of attention. Toyota sells all they can build, while the car’s owners group has become a rather enthusiastic following despite the Prius’ relatively frugal equipment and uninspiring teardrop shaped packaging. Such success begs the question- could technology-driven Audi do a small hybrid just as well, if not better, and in a more stylish package?
The Q7 Hybrid is an interesting prospect, but I think I have an idea for a more frugal offering. It would be one that showcases Audi’s own core competencies and could theoretically be built at a reasonable cost, given it would use an existing platform… that of the A3 5-door.
Should Audi build something like an A3 Hybrid, I for one would be there in line to put down my deposit. Ingolstadt has become quite proficient at being strong in performance like their rivals from Munich, but Audi’s brand identity is synonymous with technology and their well-known motto ‘Vorsprung Durch Technik’ makes the brand more credible in its presentation of a TDI Hybrid laden with technology like all-wheel drive and DSG or even more gluttonous options like Navigation plus or alcantara suede seats. Near as I can tell, such an offering would be right in line with the unique and out-of-the-box thinking target customer Audi has in mind with the A3. It would be a halo car with a conscience.
Murcielago LP640
s Volkswagen about to shed some supercars from its stable? It could be the case, if statements by Porsche boss/VW supervisory board member, Wendelin Wiedeking, are taken seriously. When asked about the future Bugatti and Lamborghini within the Volkswagen Group, Wiedeking is quoted as saying "no toys anymore." Cash from the sale of these two exotic makers could help VW work on resurrecting restructuring its core Volkswagen brand, which would allow VW to reclaim its position as a true global player.
But it's not all about the Euros. Not surprisingly, it is reported that Wiedeking isn't too happy Porsche might occupy anything less than the top rung in the corporate hierarchy. Imagine Audi R8, Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Gallardo all in the same family – that might be a little awkward. And with a new Porsche supercar reportedly in the works designed to break the top speed record set by the Bugatti Veyron, it can only get worse. Throw in a Murcielago LP640 successor, and we think the sibling rivalry would turn to bloodshed.
Autocar is speculating that Lamborghini could be sold off, but that Bugatti might turn into little more than a coachbuilder. If the Veyron ends up making Bugatti a one-and-done automaker this go-around, we say job well done but hope there's more to come.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
What's up with the dick in a box-types who keep crashing their high-po super cars into immobile objects? I mean yeah, this guy who crashed his Ferrari 360 Spyder into a pole in West Perth, Australia may be a hoon par high dollar, but that don't mean we'll make a shirt out of it. Sorry big man, no matter how many times you crash an Anderson Cooper Ferrari into a pole, your automaker's already got us to make a t-shirt for the Enzo. So, go get yourself a Carerra, Mr. Hoon, and try your level best to get a t-shirt made for that one -- because right now, despite the rumors you imbibed ten Foster's before you put the proverbial pedal to the metal in this here Spyder for the last time, you're just plain outta luck. But hey, we've still got a full gallery of the hoonage below. [Hat tip to David, Laurens & Simon!] – Ray Wert
Perfectus’ SLR...
Although theres finally an end in sight for the Mercedes McLaren SLR production run a number of tuning companies are still coming out with far out modifications for the flagship model. We saw RENNtech’s model last week, now we give you the ASMA perfectus, designed for the Abu Dhabi royal family and offered to cutomers for a cool ?1 million. We’ve never reported on any of the German company’s products, however it’s design traits include incredibly elongated front grilles and very ‘loud’ styling.
McLaren SLR Speedster
A special edititon of the McLaren-Mercedes SLR will be build. The final model will be a McLaren SLR Speedster. This lightweight version will lack a roof, windscreen and windows. Instead it just has a small deflector reminding us of the Smart Crossblade. Together with removal of the airconditioning and a number of other weight-saving measures this will be the ultimate SLR track warrior with a topspeed of 350 km/h. Only 75 SLR Speedsters will be produced at a price of € 450.000.
The car will also have a body constructed of carbon fiber, ceramic brakes, side pipes and a five-speed automatic gearbox. The car is a homage to the original 300 SLR (pictured above). Lewis Hamilton is said to be involved with this special SLR Speedster project. On 30th July more information is expected when McLaren racing driver Lewis Hamilton makes his appearance at the Stuttgart Arena.

Lamborghini Diablo
Diablo means “Devil” in Spanish, and the car stands true for its name. Introduced in 1990 by the Italian manufacturer, it became famous all around the world, mainly due to celebrities that acquired one (what a waste…).
Design: Just like the Ferrari F40, the initial versions of the Diablo were pretty spartan and focused on performance alone. Late in the 1990s, however, the car gained some softer lines and better interiors.
Performance: The first Diablo packed a 5.7-litre engine, capable of an output of 492 bhp. It could go It goes from 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4,1 seconds, and had a maximum speed of 202 mhp (325 km/h).
Chick Factor: High. Let’s be honest here, if you can afford a Lambordhini Diablo you won’t have much trouble getting chicks around..........................,

The Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo set the new World’s Fastest Production Car record with an average top speed of 255.83 mph.
On a temporarily-closed 2 lane public highway in Washington State, the SSC Ultimate Aero posted a top speed of 257.11 mph (413.83 kph) on its first pass and 254.55 mph (409.71 kph) on its return pass, achieving a new top speed record: a staggering 255.83 mph (411.76 kph).

The Ultimate Aero achieved 0-60 mph in 2.78 seconds and 1/4 Mile in 9.90 seconds at 144 mph. The Aero TT is not completely stripped either, it features air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, a navigation system, and a 10 speaker Audio/CD/DVD. Base price is expected to be around $585,000
Barabus TKR.....
Few people know this, but this is now the fastest car ever made, having dethroned the Bugatti beast. The name is not to be confused with the German tuner Brabus, as she's built by the British company Barabus Sportscars Ltd and will be produced in Italy. She has 1005 horsepower, it can do 0 to 60 mph (0-100 km/h) in...unbelievably...1.67 seconds (manufacturer's results). And, surprisingly, this power doesn't come from a huge engine, but rather from a "small" 6.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers. This declared speed is impressive and some people think that such a figure is not even possible: 270 mph (435km/h), nearly 20 more than the Veyron.
